The Interchange “Girls Day Out” Program was successfully launched on Saturday 6th October between 11am and 4pm.
Eight participants enjoyed a day making jewellery at The Bead Experience, socialising over lunch and posing for funny photos together.
The group decided on which cafe to visit in the afternoon where the girls ordered and enjoyed afternoon tea.
“Girls Day Out” is held once a month with the next on scheduled for early November.
Some of the activities the girls will be undertaking on the pgoram are:
- Visits to a nail salon
- Movie day and
- Arts and crafts.
It will give the participants the opportunity to:
- Build independence & community access skills
- Meet new friends and build friendships
- Share interests & hobbies of other participants
- Develop social skills
There will be out of pocket expenses for activities.
