You have heard of the Bash Bros in the Big Bash during the Summer. But in Bendigo we have, as they like to be called, the CP Brothers.
Sean Ryan & Jye Yates both live with Cerebral Palsy and are members of the Axe Creek Cricket Club’s All Abilities Team.
During the winter they play in the Div 1 net which comprises of state level All Abilities Players and Mainstream Players.
No quarter is given and the lads wouldn’t have it any other way.
The two often bat together and it is a regular occurrence to see them both walk off the court sporting huge grins, the odd scuff and the odd blood stain.
But Sean & Jye absolutely love the game and are an example of how their disability does not define who they are or what they can achieve.
As their coach, I continue to marvel at their exploits, admire their courage and applaud their determination.
Well done lads, you both are inspiration to many at the club.
