May name is Danny Prince. I joined interchange in February 2020 as an OSHC educator. In my short time at Interchange, I have moved from OSHC to community facilitator, leading our choice program and now SIL house supervisor.
I love working with people and being able to make a difference in their world. I do not think there is anything better than seeing an individual grow in confidence and character as you mentor/care for them. I have a background in trauma and mental health services with kids with serious behaviors of concern/disabilities. As a team we would work hard to keep the young people out of residential care and back into blood related family homes or foster care/adoption. I was lucky enough to do this for 5 years in Adelaide before making the move over to Bendigo where I joined the department of youth justice/ interchange.
In my Role as house supervisor, I help lead a team of SIL workers to best support people with disabilities live a free, fun and independent life within their own home. Its an awesome job and I am super exited to see the residents grow and achieve!
