The July Winter Wonderland School Holiday Program hit the ground running with a visit to the always popular Parky’s Wonderland where participants climbed, slid and challenged themselves through the indoor play centre.
The fun wasn’t over on day one as everyone settled in at Bendigo Cinemas to watch The Secret Life of Pets 2.
The second day involved some free play including craft, ball games and group play on the Nintendo Wii. As a group, a shopping list was created for lunch ingredients to make nacho’s, which everyone enjoyed making as much as they did eating! After lunch participants’ bowling skills were on show when everyone joined in a game of ten pin bowling.
The third and final day started off with the huge excitement as the group visited the Central Deborah Gold Mine for an underground mine experience.
Participants ventured 61 meters below the surface to explore the honeycomb of underground tunnels. Gold panning was also on offer after the mine tour, a chance for everyone to get their hands dirty in search of gold!
