In December 2016 a group of 6 participants embarked on a trip of a lifetime to Tasmania!
Beginning at Launceston with lunch at Bryher Cafe the group explored the very beautiful Cataract Gorge taking in the amazing landscape, walking across the bridge and getting up close and personal with the local wildlife.
Day two the group traveled to the majestic Cradle Mountain National Park and Dove Lake stopping at a honey farm and sharing lunch together on the way.
Travelling south towards Hobart, participants stopped off in Campbell Town for a photo opportunity with some very impressive sculptures and then they spent a few hours at Bonorong Wildlife Park. The evening offered a walk along the Hobart wharf and dinner and dessert at Mure’s Seafood Restaurant.
On day four a self guided tour of Historic Port Arthur precinct allowed the participants to soak up all the history in their own time.
A cruise on Peppermint Bay was enjoyed on the fifth day before heading up to the summit of Mt. Wellington in the afternoon. The group had their evening meal at the Cascade Pub where the beer & food was plentiful and very tasty.
The final morning of the trip allowed for a quick dash around famous Salamanca Market before heading to the airport for the flight back to the mainland.
We are now planning our next Aussie adventure…
